For America: Simple Things Each of Us Can Do to Make Our Country Better
This book, by Sacha Zimmerman with forewords by George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton, is an outstanding tool for assisting everyone to take responsibility for the general improvement of themselves, their surroundings, and their country. Each of the 73 chapters is brief (no more than 2-3 pages), thought-provoking, and filled with excellent print and Web resources to enable the reader to put the thoughts into solid actions. I can’t recomend this book enough as the best inspirational book I’ve ever read that speaks to the responsibility we all must take to make ourselves, our surroundings, our country, and our world better.

Discussion Questions
Although this book is not intended for younger children to read, it provides the catalyst for great family discussions regarding everyone’s responsibility for improving their own situation and those of others. Discussion questions might include: Why should we care what impact our actions have on others? What can I do that might make someone else’s life better?
