the heck with others!
What goes on in another country is not relevant to this issue. Other nations are getting more and more liberal as the years go by. I'm horrified at some of the practices in other parts of the world and I'm sick of people in America who wish we were more like them. If you don't like this country, please feel free to leave.

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
I'm really tired of all these so called "professionals" trying to tell people how to raise their kids. IT'S FOOD FOR HEAVENS' SAKE! I don't think a child is going to develope trust issues because mom figured out a way for him to eat his vegatables in a tasty way. This whole thing is rediculous! A nutritionist and a food critic are now child psychologists? I think the "food critic" should try and find a real job.

nothing but RIGHT!
Turning the money in with the hope that it would be returned to the rightful owner was absolutely the right thing to do! The fact that there was no record of it being turned in doesn't matter. The only thing that mattered was that YOU did the right thing.

P.S.
If Paris Hilton truly wants to help some impoverished kids there are literally tens of thousands of them right here in America. Why would you not want to help your own countrys' needy first?

way to far!!
These people who run our schools have completely gotten out of hand! No touching of any kind, No recess, No red ink, no competition on the play ground. This so rediculous. These teachers and school administrators think they need to raise americas kids their way, that They need to protect these poor kids! What these kids need protection from is some of the smut they have access to on the shelves of the school library or the school computers that these same people deem educational. They also need to be protected from teachers who like to pass off their political ideals on the kids they teach. Stick to the lessons in the text books please!Let the parents do the parenting the way they see fit!

ANY LENGTH
If I were to see a child being mistreated by anyone, including a parent,I would definitely report it to the appropriate authorities.Of course this would not include a little smack on the butt type of thing. In the case of the nanny in the park, I would have followed her and found out who the parents were and notified them about the incident.

no bar babies
Parents can get their socialization needs met just as soon as their kids get all of their needs met! Any person who has worries about their social life being affected by having kids should not have them. Thats one of the worst problems society faces today:people who want to have a career and social life that excludes their parenting responsibilities.

huh?
A life for a life was the law in the old testament of the Bible. If you kill someone you seal their fate.I don't believe this man should get the death penalty,I don't think two wrongs make a right. However, I don't think this man should practice medicine.God will deal with him on judgement day.

He's a murderer and he's dishonest. I don't believe these are great characteristics for a doctor.

combination
I think the fault here lies mostly with the parents. We are programed by the environment that we are raised in. It's up to the parents what kids are exposed to at an early age: TV, video games, movies, music, the other kids they are allowed to play with, etc.The news media over reports on school violence. Parents are ultimately responsible.

BABY IN DANGER!!!
This girl gave her baby to a complete stranger! You can't comment on her fear, you don't know what her frame of mind was, only she knows that. The person she gave the child to could have taken it home and microwaved it for all we know!

WHAT!!!???
These alleged "moms" who want to take a child into a bar need to be jailed! The minute you have a baby you become second in line. YOUR BABY COMES FIRST!! As horrible as it sounds, I think some people need to be sterilized! My mother was and still is a great example of a kind,l oving mother who sacrificed here own wants and needs for me and my siblings like any GOOD MOTHER would.

dignity?
I do not understand this sick pleasure people get from watching someone make a fool of themselves on TV. I don't find any of these trashy, tabloid shows even remotely entertaining. These shows are just more examples of the decay of morals in this country.

PUT UP A FENCE!!
Where I grew up the seats behind home plate and the seats behind each dugout were protected by a fence that was probably fifteen feet high. I'm thinking they probably did this because SOMEONE GOT HIT!! Isn't this pretty much just common sense?

horrified!!
I'm completely horrified after reading this. I think this fire chief needs to retire or be fired. The family and friends of this girl must be even more devastated after learning this.

Bad Idea!!!
Mr. Thomas needs to leave his ego out of this. This billboard program is not going to stop an alcoholic from driving impaired. What it will do is completely humiliate the innocent families of these people. It could cause divorce or suicide or kids being picked on and bullied in school. Alcoholism is a disease. It needs to be treated like one.

great!
I think that what happened here with all these people searching is great! Now they just need to do this every time anyone is missing in an area like that. Steve Fossett is no more important than someone's child or a missing hiker or anyone else for that matter.

for your own sake forgive!!
It takes too much emotional and mental effort to hold onto to a resentment. You will never achieve peace in your own soul until you are able to forgive.

irresponsible!!
I despise people who are always shifting respnsibilty to others and in this case to a complete stranger. He put her in a very uncomfortable situation. What if she absolutely had to go and couldn't find someone to watch his laptop? Now she's going to feel guilty wondering if his stuff was still there when he returned and all because of this guys' inability to look after his own stuff. I don't have that much faith in our society to let a stranger watch my stuff for ten minutes and I wouldn't be selfish enough to ask!

no trip needed
If Paris Hilton truly wants to help the people of Rwanda, she can do it right here in her own country. She has all the recognition a person who wants to draw attention to a charity needs, not to mention rich friends and family to boot. She can campaign for Rwanda from home. A trip there I believe, would be for personal publicity.

yes steve!
This begs the question which came first, peoples' thirst for tabloid trash or the tabloid trash? They both feed off of each other. I'm personally sickened by what I see in the check out line at the store. You can't get away from it. Even the media outlets I used to respect have gotten in on it! The sad fact is TRASH sells in this country. The responsibility for the steady moral decline of our nation lies with both the people who read this garbage and the publishers. It's sad to me to see so many kids in this country immitating what they see celebrities do. They think it's cool. I think the media goes way to far in their reporting of celebrities, but they only report on what they know the public wants! This will not change untill society does.

she needs help
What this girl needs is to be totally left alone by everyone! Her family, friends, fans, husband, manager and anyone else she's associated with. As long as people keep comforting her she will not stop the substances that she's addicted to. If an addict or alcoholic is ever going to hit bottom, which is absolutely required to get sober, they're not going to do it while a bunch of people are praising them and giving them awards. And what an absolute horrible example the music industry sets time after time by rewarding bad behavior! It seems like that is the way to stardom these days.

gone baby gone
If she knew about this law and purposely violated it then she was at fault. I don't think she should be charged with a felony, but she shouldn't get away with it. The scary part of this is she gave this infant to a complete stranger who could have done anything with it. She could have left it at a church, firehouse, hospital, clinic, police station, etc.

not guilty
If the guy who lent his car out knew what it was going to be used for, then yes he is just as guilty as the trigger man. If not then this is ridiculous.

good samaritan
She could have pulled the victim out of the road or parked her car in a position with her hazards on to protect the guy from oncoming traffic, but we can't judge her because she was probably in shock from what she had just witnessed.

selfish
I have to ask myself if this whole thing was staged. How did they know about the ex? Some people will do anything for money. If this was not staged, she is an incredibly selfish person. I hope she doesn't have kids! The show is not responsible for her actions.
