Dave, you may be a man, but I agree with you. There are so many children in this country that need loving, caring parents that if you can't conceive or want to have all your children at once, adopt. That being said, there are selfish people out there that feel that the child has to carry their genes for them to love them. My best friend is unable to have children and at this time, she is in the process of adopting her second child. She and her family love these children every bit as much as if she had had IFV and given birth. I'm sure she would also agree with your statement.

I totally agree with you, Joyce. I have never watched the show, and knew from the commercials for it that I never would. I don't even know if it is still on the air. It makes me wonder what has happened to our society, will we destroy our friend and family just for monetary gain?

My Best Friends
I have owned dogs all of my life and cats since my early thirties. Our pets were not "just animals", but loving friends and members of our family. It is always a hard decision to make when they get sick or old as to what to do. I have always based my decision on the welfare of my pets and the quality of life they would have after medical treatment. In today's world, there are so many people that feel "it's all about me", that people, who have pets, love and care for them even more. In my opinion, most true "animal lovers” may spend thousands of dollars to save their pets and may not give money to charity, but instead, they give of themselves. They volunteer their time taking their dogs to visit nursing homes and hospitals, do search and rescue work, and many other acts of charity that do not involve their animals. As far as I am concerned I will spend money to keep my pets healthy and with me as long as they have a good quality of life, treat people the way I want to be treated, and give my time and physical help to people when needed.
