To me this movie does a very good job illustrating the responsibilities we have as a community. May we always keep the lighthouses lighted. Oh, and to ProMotion Studios, well done. I am amazed at your Blender talents.

I rarely pay attention to, no less click on, Web page ads but this one caught my attention -- and I'm so glad it did. My initial curiousity was its look of a sophisticated video game. When I quickly determined from the LM sponsorship it was more along the lines of PSA, I was still intrigued. The presentation is beautiful and its message is told in a succinct, albeit silent, manner. I can envision it being used in classrooms as a discussion-starter to help children learn life lessons. I hope Charlie Short and his team put their time and efforts into creating film shorts that, based on this clip, could be Oscar-worthy.

The light house could well symbolize the beautiful light within each of us. It certainly shines much better when all tasks are shared be it in a family or in a community. When moving out to help another select the task you despise the most to help with first. It's the quickest way to establish a base for true community. It lets the other person know your commitment to help is real, not just a token.

Unless you don’t know how to perform that task: since ancient times people specialized so to go to a new community. Why not bring something to the table others can’t do? You may like this task. Or, you can do what others don’t want to do and be treated like a second class citizen. Sorry, this is just my opinion. I got stuck cutting the grass till I was old enough to leave home and how I begged to swap chores with my sister but to no avail. So, I believe you do it one time, you are now the chosen one for that task. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I agree completely with the other comments. They are both so true. What a great way to bring those morals to light, so to speak. That much symbolism in such a short film is remarkable. The animation itself was fascinating. As a new Blender Student, I couldn't be more impressed. Nice work!

We are all called at one time or another to ask for help and to answer another's call for help with out judging them. Responsibility goes both ways.

I know what this is – It is s not some shining light of our souls like the people above me, sorry to say, or some let’s smile and help each other out. Without further ado... it’s about a CEO and man how those poor people down there annoy me *shuts window.* Anyway, have to act important cause I am what makes this economic machine work. It’s why i make millions. Crash! It’s broken. How fix it?(The boat you see out there, well that’s the SS subprime mortgage). No!I put so much into that boat. (CEO freaks out here and falls...then tries to fix it behind closed doors... but makes it worse) Oh, but now, people are getting kicked out of their houses so they go see what’s going on.... (in a galaxy far far away, Obiwan Kenobi feels a disturbance in the force of a million screams crying in unison while on the Millennium Falcon ..and it wasn’t because Alderan was destroyed by the death star just so you know). Back to the lighthouse. Those lights you see from town are the lights the CEO sees with … you guessed it … saved by those poor people and the man. They can pool their money for us every time we break something. With a big grin from the CEO, the SS Subprime Mortgage was diverted from total destruction while the poor people showered their light upon the rocks of doom (700 billion lights to be precise minus the 140K AIG took to the SPA's cause they needed them there). The SS Subprime Mortgage ship was saved but did not escape without damage; it will take many days (probably years) before she sails again. For now, she is docked at Manhattan Harbor, awaiting the CEO to use the light of the people to rework her and possible rename her the SS Better Subprime Mortgage. Wow, I’m good. The end.
