At first it reminded me of a incident in NY several years ago when people heard a women being attacked and later admitted they heard it but did nothing. Why wait to prevent some one being hurt? To entertain ourselves? Not wanting to get involved? today more then ever we as a community need to speak up for what is right and just.

Great moral lesson. Thought provoking. How can I obtain this film for use in a class room discussion?

College Student

Don’t rush things. You are very young and to want a baby is just a fact of life. Keep wanting that baby but do what needs to be done to make sure that baby is properly cared for. You have not graduated from school yet. Your ability to provide for that baby is severely lacking. And to raise a child on wellfare is no way to raise a child at all. Graduate school, go onto college and get the education you need to work in a job that will make you happy as well as give you the ability to provide. After college settle down, buy a car and a house and than start your family. Trust me, I am 35 and have had 4 kids, 1 was when I was 19. I am furthering my education now but I can tell you that if I had taken everyone’s advice and did it while I was younger then my family and myself would not have suffered in the past like we have.
Another thing is your sexual activity. Sex is nothing accept physical. If you are having it to fit in or feel loved or accepted than try and find the underlying issue. Go to a counselor or a trusted role model. This type of behavior is very self destructive and will only lead to poor decisions and a bad way of life for you and anyone you bring into this world. And one more thing, we don’t have babies so we have someone to love us, and that is what it sounds like to me that you are doing. Sweetie, you got to love yourself first. And to do that is to make healthy choices in your life. Surround yourself with good people, and stay away from the bad. If your friends are doing drugs or having sex you will too. Look in your community for clubs and groups that you can join so you have a better sense of belonging. Church is a good place to start to find acceptance and support. I am not a bible thumper but I do understand how beneficial it is to the human soul. Remember you are your own person and you are strong. I love you honey, and I don’t even know you. You can and will do great things, you just have to have the want to.
