The New Era of Responsibility

The New Era of Responsibility

When President Barack Obama took the oath of office, he gave the nation a challenge: "What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility."

His message echoed across the country and around the world, with especially profound resonance here at the Responsibility Project, launched a year ago this week in response to your thousands of letters and emails seeking to highlight the role of responsibility in all our lives.

In his inaugural address, President Obama articulated some of the same ideals of responsibility many of you have already expressed on this site:

"A recognition on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world. Duties that we do not grudgingly accept, but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task."

Creating a new culture of responsibility— Extreme Makeover, American Edition—will require some personal heavy lifting from each of us, along with the recognition that we don’t have to wear a uniform to serve our country. Hitting the re-set button on responsibility has already struck a chord: a post-inauguration survey showed that by a three-to-one margin, Americans now feel more optimistic about the future of the country

The new era was celebrated by the Inaugural Poet, with these words:

"Just as the unthinkable has happened in the past, anything remains possible now.
In today's sharp sparkle, this winter air,
Any thing can be made, any sentence begun".

Perhaps more will now begin with the word responsibility.

Tell us what you think: In his inaugural address, President Obama said "Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America." What is your personal responsibility in achieving that goal?

1. America as the leader of the (free) world for half a century, can not turn back its responsibility and return to Monroe Doctrine.
2. But the world today is vastly different then before and problems are much bigger for one country to act alone and try to solve it.
3. So we need a “partner”. Yes, one partner and many many friends. This partner must be compatible in strength but complimentary to the world leader. She must share the same spirit and goal of our nation; if not, we must work on it to get to it.
4. There are many tools to use to pursuit such a relationship—economic, political, cultural and moral.
5. We must take, or retain, a global, long view; while guarding our home and value the traditional virtue as a permanent base for mankind.

Only One Solution

Watch “THE MONEY MASTERS” (google Search). 3.5 hours on the history of money. The only partner we need is one that abolishes Central Banks. Why do we have a debt based society that orders it’s money from a private corporation (whose prime goal is their profit) to print the worlds currency from thin air? How is that good? It doesn’t matter if the ruler of the free world is Green with pink polka dots!!

Until this Debt Based Failure (that’s never worked IN ANY EMPIRE AND IS DOOMED FOR FAILURE) is revamped… we’ll continue to be enslaved.

Any talk of reform is pointless. Any smoke and mirrors geared at fooling the masses that it’s getting some savior.. some visionary… is just another scam to confuse us… I like to use the analogy “If the worst High School Teams Football Team hired Vince Lombardi (arguably best football coach every)… they’d go to the Superbowl”… Not a chance in hell… I don’t care how good the coach is.. if you don’t have talent you ain’t going to win a game… Our coach is Great… Our team sucks! And with this game plan, we’ll never make it to halftime! we’re going out on the field with no mouthpieces, shoulder pads, or helmets.. and the other team has sawed off shot guns and full body armor! We can’t win! The sides are stacked in their favor. Level the playing field and repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913! 3 people passed it on December 23rd while the majority of Congress was out on Christmas Break. What a scam! Take the reigns out of JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and BofAs hands… Put it back in the hands of people that care about this wonderful nation … Like Ron Paul and myself! So, I agree with you.. WE NEED A PAUL">PARTNER.. One with many friends (RON PAUL). COMPATIBLE IN STRENGTH & COMP TO WORLD LEADERS (RON PAUL). SHE/HE HAS THE SAME SPIRIT AND GOAL OF OUR NATION (RON PAUL).. .
Would love to hear your comments…
Until then.. CHEERS! and GO USA!
DOWN WITH THE BANKS!

Mr. Obama has many agendas. Personal responsibility I’m sure is not one of them. He is much more likely to shift blame to others.

The Change in America Where to start

We all as American have to change. The new President has spoken. It’s all of our duty to do a personal inventory. Yes we can. Yes we can.

wake up

Do you know the history of money since Christ’s time?

We’re not going to save this country/world unless we change our DEBT based monetary system… It’s destined for failure and has NEVER succeeded! EVER! This will be no exception. Fiat currency based monetary systems… ones owned by private corporations (Like the US, Englands and Europes) will fail. Doesn’t matter if Barrack, Jesus or the man on the moon is president…

Let me say it again… A system based on debt (ours) has NEVER lasted. Has ALWAYS failed (like ours is) and no visionary past, present or future can save it. End of story. Not the coming together of a nation etc. When 9 TRILLION dollars are printed.. it’ll take a lot more than some visionary with ZERO economic failure experience under his belt.. By this I mean.. he barely has any economic experience… He has NO experience at bringing the world’s greatest economy back to life… and will fail miserably (as every president prior to him has) unless he takes away the Central Banks ability issue our currency.

Just thought you’d like to be steered straight. You seemed a little off course with your delusion that Mr. Obama was some prophet that had all the answers. He’s nothing more than a fall guy, who in my opinion doesn’t deserve what he’s about to have thrown in his lap. It’d be like trying to empty the pacific ocean with a tea spoon. No matter how much he bails out, it’ll have zero impact. Example 9 trillion spent… 800 Billion Band Aid. That doesn’t even scratch the surface of what Europe’s trying to bailout.
Gods Speed to you and yours.

Mister

I expect my president to serve us all and I know that he is only human and will make mistakes. I am here to support him through the good, the bad, and the ugly.

We Must Use Our Intellect

In the name of common – - good for all mankind, this is the time we must make heartfelt intelligent choices.

I think if you interviewed and asked groups of cultures of people they all would speak of some sort of oppression. Some would feel that oppression more than others. Not only do we exist in this debt based monetary system, but the money is also distributed unevenly.

What I mean by this is the money is displaced. We have little respect for the teacher who teaches our children on a daily basis, or a maid, or someone who cleans toilets, and I could go on.

We more so honor beauty and fame, and believe me, we are a society that likes to be entertained.

It is our inevitable responsibility to rise up and do more and give more for the sake of our brother and sister. For those groups of people who have felt that sting of oppression I do believe it should be easier for us to climb that ladder and to set the example since we have put a lot of hard work in already.

President Obama is right. We have to start our mission to rise up intellectually, mindful of our goals, peacefully and be energetic on the path to accomplish a mission of surviving, not only a debt based system but a system of blinding greed.

Have to start sometime and somewhere

A good deal of people out there are simply complaining that the new president will not change anything and that he has another agenda. Well, what do you bring to the table? If you have a solution that will bring this country back to the prominance that it once had then please feel free to run for office and enlighten the rest of us. Otherwise, let the man try and let us support his efforts.

He has already stated that it is going to get worse before it gets better and on top of all that he did not create this mess we are in! It was here before he even decided to run for office let alone became president. Now is the time for all good men to come together and get this thing fixed.

I spent many years teaching my family responsibility, and that every ‘right’ had a corresponding responsibility. Through liberal pollitics and policies, we, as a
nation have strayed from this basic principle. It is not a new idea, but one that many people will be glad to embrace.
